I've done a few like this in the past..never in a tunnel. I love how it squares off the sparks!

Location
I took this photo in an alley, in Oslo.Time
It was quite late in the evening, almost at midnight. Because in Norway, during summer you have to wait a lot til it gets dark.Lighting
Since it is a long exposure, I did not have to worry about the lighting. Burning the steel wool helped me to get some light.Equipment
I used my Hama tripod, my Nikon D90 camera, with my 18-105 lens. And of course the steel wool, a leash, and my friend who was spinning it.Inspiration
Long exposures and night photography is my favorites, so I had to try this, too.Editing
Yes, I did some tonal contrast and fixed white balance and such things in Lightroom. In my camera bag
I always have my lenses, my filter set, Giga T Pro trigger, lens cleaning set, charger, extra battery, extra memory card.Feedback
You have to do this during night time. Always be careful with burning anything. Take a look around you and get rid of anything flammable. Wear some safety goggles and gloves, or at least your helper should wear it.
