Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on Hwy 77 in Southside, Alabama. Sitting on the Coosa River with the Talladega Forest in the background.

Time

This was taken in the evening around 5:30 pm.

Lighting

The lighting on the piece is so bright that is casts a fiery glow across the water and making what would appear as water spots on the foreground.

Equipment

Well this photo was actually taken with my IPhone 6 Plus

Inspiration

I am always looking for that one sunset, that one sunrise that just makes you loose your breathe with it's magnificent beauty. One that stops me in my steps. This photo stopped me because of the sun sitting on top of the mountains with the reflections on the water and the clouds that were all around it. The colors at the sunset makes in the sky inspire me to always look up.

Editing

There were no post-processing with this photo. It is a raw caption.

In my camera bag

Along with my iPhone I always take my Nikon with me for quick snaps shots. Being a truck driver if I don't snap a shot fast it's gone. I also carry Micro lens to add to a close-up.

Feedback

Being an Amateur photographer, I would have to say always have your camera with you. Don't miss out on a shot because you left it in the bag. When taking a photo look for something that Awes you. Look for the perfect lighting where the shot is not just a silhouette but you can see everything around your center of interest. The time of day could play a huge factor in the lighting of you shot. Change your sitting, your position and take more than one shot to unsure you have that wow factor in your photo.
