Location
This photo was taken in Lisbon, Portugal. The bridge in the picture it's called "25 de Abril", the day of Carnation Revolution in PortugalTime
This shot was taken on a saturday morning. I don't like to awake up very earlier... But there is no lucky without efforts...Lighting
There was a little haze on that morning. A right conditions to give an atmospheric feel to the image.Equipment
This shot was taken with my old and every day companion, the sony nex5r with sel16f28 lens. I also used Hoya nd filter to soften the waterInspiration
I felt crushed by the size of the bridge and the way it faded into the horizon. Then I realized that I was not the only one who was enjoying that moment, and that was what inspired me most.Editing
This is a long exposure picture (30 sec.). But, fortunatelly I had the lucky to have the model stand still for that time, without knowing that was being photographed So, a simple raw file was sufficient. I converted to black and white, and adjusted the highlights and shadows, and add some gradient masking to had more drama to the sceneIn my camera bag
For seascape photography I typically use my full frame camera and a very wide angle lens. Lately, I have been using the Sony a7 with sigma 12-24. I use the wonderpana free arc filter system from fotodiox. A big filter system, but very well made. For street shots, my go to camera it's my old sony nex-5r and the fujian 35mm lens. Fujian it's a poor quality but funny lens to play with.Feedback
As described earlier, this image happened by chance. So lesson learned from this moment was, always have a camera with you.
