Location
The photo was taken in a side road just off London's Oxford st.Time
It was about 10am when the streets were just filling up with shoppers after the morning commuter run.Lighting
The lighting was good as there was still some directional light casting a shadow on the lone subject whilst lighting up the whole scene with a fairly even light, not too many dark shadows.Equipment
Taken with a Nikon d5100 and Nikon 85mm 1.8 lens.Inspiration
Love shooting street juxtapositions, the photo just cried out to be taken. I think the eyes staring straight at my camera were just too inviting not to take even without the passer by.Editing
The the only post processing was a little sharpening and colour from within Lightroom, nothing special from the norm.In my camera bag
My equiptment varies depending on what i am photographing, usually street photography will be a d600 and nikon 50mm 1.4 lens or a sigma 24-105 f4 which gives me better variety but usually find the 50mm lens easier for creative images. I am an avid believer though that the camera and lens don't matter too much its just the way you see things, too much equiptment at times can be a hinderance, also its worth noting that you try to lean all about your camera so its easier to take photos on the street, sometimes time is an issue the photo is there and then gone forever.Feedback
Basically try to picture the finished article if you can, get the scene and backdrop and wait for it to happen, be ready to go with exposure and composition then its just a matter of timing.
