Location
A good friend invited me and a friend (who is Mom to my goddaughter) to her grandparents' on a beautiful summer day.Time
This photo was taken in the late afternoon when the afternoon breeze was still gifting us and the birds were beginning their evening chatter along with the chorus of insects echoing in the distant trees around the corn fields.Lighting
The clouds provided a nice filter for the light along with the shade trees.Equipment
I believe the camera I used was a Cannon 6D with a 70-200 lens that comes in handy when kids are flitting around all over the place.Inspiration
My goddaughter has known a set of twins all her life and they have played many hours together. When they all get together it is always a good opportunity to capture their friendships and watch their energy.Editing
I pretty much use Lightroom for all my post proccessing and I have always appreciated how intuitive it is to use. Lighting is everything so I most likely worked on shadows and highlights with this photo. In my camera bag
I shoot Canon so I usually bring my 70-200, 24-70 and my new favorite lens has become the 135 prime lens. I want to use my tripod more to help with my continuous self over-caffeination as well as using my flash for fill lighting. I am a pretty simple person so I don't allow my gear to get too complicated but I have great admiration for other photographers who seem to master the technical aspects of photography.Feedback
By not being a technically buff photographer I live my hobby through my heart, it seems. Photography got me out of the house and out of a slight depression several years ago and I remain grateful in a way that fuels my motivation to try and see life as it is happening all around me. If someone is able to see a moment of Love captured by one of my images I am very humbled and elated to share it because it is all around me if I am willing to look, as "Hippy-Dippy" as that may sound. So my advice is to simply step out of the house with any camera and go looking for all the life and love you see around you. It's a blast!
