Location
I was on a marriage retreat with my church in Gatlinburg, TN. Our Lodge was up in the Smokie Mountains. Our room had a balcony looking across the top of the mountains.Time
I got up early one morning and went to go get some fresh air on the balcony. I was overwhelmed with the beauty of the sunrise. I had to go get my camera to take a shot. So I would always be able to look back and remember that morning.Lighting
They way the sun was shining and reflect of the fog was just beautiful. The way the fog was enveloping the mountains; it looked like we were in the clouds ourselves. It was a perfect sunrise.Equipment
I was using my Canon Rebel with a 200m lens and no flash.Inspiration
One look at those mountains and I knew I didn't have a choice. Those mountains had to be photographed. marriage retreat turned into a photographer's dream. Even my husband enjoyed watching the pictures I was taking. We had a great time talking and discussing the about the beautiful and peaceful scenery there.Editing
I didn't do anything to the picture. There is no crooping, Photoshop, or anything else. It's was just my camera and I. My camera was lucky enough to catch it just how I saw it.In my camera bag
I normally just carry a 55m and 200m lens, my (pro)master FL190 flash, and battery charger along with my Canon Rebel camera.Feedback
