This photo was captured at night inside my home, with all the lights turned off.Lighting
All lights in the room were turned off. Flashlight of my phone was used to illuminate the jug from one side, to give a magical effect. Bokeh was created using decorative serial lights (festival lights).Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D90 with nikkor 50mm 1.8D lens. No other equipment was used apart from the phone flashlight.Inspiration
The Inspiration or theme behind this photograph is "Finding magic in Everyday Life". This jug was in the cupboard since long and I always thought of making some pictures of it. Its shape and similarity with a magic lamp inspired me to take this photograph.Editing
No post processing was done.In my camera bag
I use a Nikon D90 and always carry the 50mm prime lens with it. The lens is light, gives good quality images and can even produce good quality macro images by reverse mounting the lens. And hence, it's my favorite lens. In addition to this, I use a Nikkor 55-200VR and a Sigma 24-60mm 2.8.Feedback
The lighting can be adjusted and positioned to get a more dramatic effect (even a flashlight can be used for this purpose). Light balls in the image are decorative lights and it can be arranged in creative ways. Lenses that can produce better bokeh can be used.
