Wow! Amazing shot. Talk about a leading line. Right down the path to the tree and leaving the viewer wanting to know what comes next.

Location
Walking the dogs in rural Gloucestershire, UK, on a typical English spring day, I looked over my shoulder and was struck by the way the trail seemed to meander off into the distance. Coupled with the low, grey sky it just begged to be photographed.Time
Mid-morning, on a wet and dismal day.Lighting
The shot didn't need much in the way of editing; just a little tonal contrast and a slight warm-up in Snapseed did the trick.Equipment
I have to confess to carrying my Nikon less and less since I got an iPhone 6s. The camera is stunning and it's always there, so I fall back on it more and more often for those unexpected shots. The Nikon mostly comes out for set-ups and work that's going to be printed at a larger size.Inspiration
This was just pure luck. I've walked around here dozens of times, and it's picturesque, so I've taken plenty of shots in the area, but everything about the weather made this shot unmissable.Editing
As I said, I tweaked the tonal contrast a little and warmed up the image, but that and a crop was all it needed. All done in Snapseed on my iPhone. In my camera bag
This shot was taken with my iPhone 6S, but my new 'normal kit is a Fuji X pro2. 56mm f1.2, 27mm pancake lens and my ever-faithful feet, which I maintain are the best zoom of all!Feedback
Advice? Look! Look up, look back, look round...Even places you think you know really well can offer surprising photo opportunities , but only if your eyes and mind are open.
