I was fortunate to get this capture when Layla was just lost in thought. This is a bit softer look. I'm sure it is the same for most babies, but this little one has so many 'faces' it seems. I see this image and see another a few weeks later and they seem so different. I used my EF 100mm f2.8 Macro USM lens for this shot with my External Flash on. I have had this lens for almost 8 years and I love it. Mind you it has taken years for me to master manually focusing it, but when you have good focus it is excellent! I've gotten tot he point where I would rather manually focus most lenses. Mind you, at times I wish it was true that you could pay a decent price for a Camera and fabulous images came out of it every time. But where would the challenge or creativity come into play?
