Love the dramatic feel of this photo, the sky really helps to pop the colors. Fantastic and congratulations on your win!

Wow, contest finalist!
Happy now!

Behind The Lens

Location
The photo was taken at medkila in Harstad, near busy main road into town. It shows Osneset, and old farm and the boat houses there. It was quite a grey day and I wanted something with strong colors to offset that.
Time
I walked down there from my house but I can't remember what time it was, but probably in the afternoon.
Lighting
The light was quite bad, as it was overcast. So I put my camera on a tripod as I was getting quite a long exposure time.
Equipment
I used a Canon EOS 50 D with a Samyang 14mm F2.8 lens on my trusted 25 year old tripod.
Inspiration
I was inspired by boredom. I simply wanted to pass the time and went out and took some pictures of my neighborhood, as I often do. There was no plan to go along with it, and no message I wanted to convey. Just to get some shots, and perhaps practice using lightroom to do some post processing. That goes for all my photography, it's just something I do because I like it and it gets me out of my chair.
Editing
Yes it is heavily processed in lightroom. I think I messed with every dial in there. I have no stops when it comes to that. I just process until I get bored, save the file and upload it somewhere. I know the puritans don't like that, but I make these for me, not for them.
In my camera bag
I normaly have the camera and lens I took this one with, and a 28-135 canon lens, that all I have.
Feedback
Get out of your chair, and go for a walk.
