I was in Sardinia for summer holidays two years ago. I was returning to my camping when I realized that Sardinia is one the region with less light pollution in the center of Italy.. I live in Rome so for me see stars in the sky and do this type of photos is impossible.
So I just stopped my car to the side of the road and take this shot at 3 a.m. while my friends sleeps on the back seats.
For the pp:
Single shot, post processed with camera raw+photoshop.
From one raw file I created two images with different exposure: one for the sky and one for the foreground.
