Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo while I was studying abroad in London. We went to this park that sits on the ruins of an old church. It's called St. dunstan in the east and it is such an amazing find. There's benches and fines covering the remains of the church walls. Completely contrasts with the city just outside.

Time

It was about midday I would say. We walked around a bit and then came here to hang out.

Lighting

There's a lot of foliage so trying to get a photo without those shadows was a challenge but we found it.

Equipment

I use a canon 60d at the moment and this was shot with a 50mm 1.8f lense. No tripod or anything or flash.

Inspiration

I heard about this place and new it would just be the perfect spot for some wonderful shots.

Editing

There is a little in post it's mostly brightening and smoothing out of the skin.

In my camera bag

I normally have just the one lens for now the 50mm 1.8f. I'm trying to use this one lens for the entire year to really get an understanding for it as best I can.

Feedback

Just find your light and the rest sort of falls into place.
