I took this photo of my niece in a very small home studio in my basement.Time
It was shot in the afternoon.Lighting
I used one studio light with an octobox, one reflector and a speedlight for rim lighting.Equipment
I shot this with my nikon d750 and tamron 24-70.Inspiration
My husband inherited an oil painting from his grandmother that hangs in my home of a ballerina. I wanted to create a piece of art through Photography of a ballerina because I was so inspired by this painting.Editing

I always carry my nikon d750, tamron 24-70, 70-200, 15-30, grad ND filters, a speedlight, and my olympus pen epl-7 camera with 24mm lens.Feedback
I think going into a session with an inspiration or a focus of what you would like to achieve is important. But then experiment and try lots of poses and lighting styles till you accomplish what you set out to do. Jump on the spontaneous moments and be open to the unexpected.
