Ever wonder what it would be like to be inside the carter of a active valcano? Mauna Loa is an active volcano and is due for an eruption. Mauna Loa has erupted 15 times since 1900. These eruptions have lasted from a few hours to 145 days. Since 1950 Mauna Loa has erupted only twice, in 1975 and 1984. The 1975 eruption lasted 1 day. The 1984 eruption lasted 3 weeks. Nearly all the eruptions begin at the summit.Even today you can see lava pouring into the ocean.

With all the activity along the ring of fire just lately Mark it might well erupt very soon' great shot, I had the opportunity last year to go up Mount Etna in Scicily a couple of years ago days after a small eruption awesome experience:-)

I have watched many TV doc's on this Volcano. Amazing how far down they flow and where they end up coming out. I don't wonder what it would be like to be inside at all!!!!!!!! I'm just fine to see it through other peoples images :)
