Behind The Lens

Location

Overlooking an old mining shaft in the dead of night , in Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Up high at Mnt. Charlotte lookout in stormy weather.

Time

Very closeto midnight!

Lighting

Used the backlighting from a mine in the distance to hightlight the old shaft shack and the lightning well that is tricky to try and control that light source

Equipment

Anko HD tripod 10-22mm wide Canon Lense Set at 18mm 450D Canon

Inspiration

Everyone was wanting lightning photos at the time.

Editing

Usually use the camera to nake image adjustments However I do crop and add writing and borders using, Arcsoft PhotoStudio 5.5

In my camera bag

Tripod, Monopod, Box Brownie converted to use 35mm slide film usually Fuji Velvia 450D, 550D, 1D, 8D, - Canon Battery grips for all with 4 batteries for each and 12x 8Gb cards Cleaning gear 3x flasheswith spare batteries 1x Cable Release, 1x Remote Release. 2x Lense balls. Water and a couple of museli bars
