Location
This was taken at the Roozengaarde Tulip display garden in Mt. Vernon, Washington. Their annual tulip festival offers beautiful fields and gardens during the month of April.Time
This was taken before noon in April, 2016.Lighting
The lighting seemed to be perfect with lots of sun coming through the barrier of trees to the west of the gardens.Equipment
My DMCFZ35 Panasonic with a Luminex Wide angle lens. The setting used on this photo was AP F5/150, ISO 80 Shutter 1/250, focal length 55/2.Inspiration
Every year I accompany my son, who conducts tours, to the tulip gardens in the Mt. Vernon area. The display was so vibrant and offered a brilliant contrast of color. I sometimes spend the whole day in the display gardens, the fields and visiting the gift shops in the area.Editing
No I do not own any post processing software other than what is on my camera. In my camera bag
My above named camera, and my I-phone for backup. Also a Nikon Coolpix P900 with a wide angle zoom lens. The usual tripod, cleaning gear and extra batteries.Feedback
Early morning offers the best photo opportunities for images of this type. The colors of the tulips become washed out as the day wanes. Truly a magical place for tulip viewing in the state of Washington.
