This photo was taken in my small home studio. I have acquired some trusty equipment over the last 10years.Time
This image was shot mid-morning in my home studio.Lighting
The concept of this shoot was to achieve a minimalistic look that focuses on the rabbits and myselfs eye – so i went on with a rather simple lighting setup using mainly a beauty dish and some fill with a reflector.Equipment
I do shoot with both Nikon & Canon. This image however was shot with a Canon 5d mkii, a 50mm lens, reflector and a tripod. That is always the setup for my self portraiture.Inspiration
I love to create portraits with a dark whimsical feel. After watching a Tim Burton's Alice in wonderland, I started brainstorming.Editing
Yes of course! This image was shot in several layers. Photoshop is hugely important because it allows me to take an image beyond reality. It is my tool of choice to transform a picture into my imagination, not just what my imagination sees, but into my imagination completely. My photographs are my best representation of what my imagination looks like.In my camera bag
It really depends what I'm shooting. I love both Nikon & canon equally. A D3x always accompanies me to weddings. My 24-70 is another go-to lens of mine. I always have it attached to one of my cameras.Feedback
Patience in Photoshop is a must. As long as your creativity is flowing. There is no right or wrong way.
