This photo was taken in Vila Velha, Brazil, in a place called Praia do Ribeiro (Ribeiro Beach). From this calm harbour we can see the city of Vitória, capital of Espirito Santo State, and a mountain called Mestre Alvaro.Time
I woke up about 5 A.M. that morning and decide to explore the city with my motorcycle and take some pictures. I took some dirty roads and stone streets and saw this place where I decided to spend some time. The photo was taken about 7 A.M. that day.Lighting
I took some other pictures on the same day. The sun was rising and light was getting harder, so I found this place where the light was smooth and cold, just perfect for a calm place like that.Equipment
This was shot using a Canon Rebel t3 and 18-55 efs canon lens.Inspiration
It was a very calm and tranquil place an it brought me a great peace of mind and I tried to share that insight through the lens.Editing

I like to experimenting on shoting and I carry simple equipments. A Canon Rebel t3 and a couple of lens, 18-55mm efs and 75-300mm ef, a tripod and a couple of filters. Sometimes I carry a GE GX-500 and I always bring my Iphone 5 with a set of lens for Iphone to make some trials.Feedback
This kind of photo requires patience to find a place where the light doesn't hit directly but it's enough to shot using low ISO. Wake up early, explore the places, study light, sometimes you are at the right place but at the wrong time of the day, sometimes you can reach better results in other season of the year, when the light changes. Try, try again, try some other time.
