Location
On a trip of a life time with our Granddaughter we set off for the USA to stay with our Daughter who lives in Las Vegas in August 2014, we had never seen other areas so we set off on a the most amazing Adventure, we flew to Calgary and boarded the Rocky Mountaineer, whilst staying at Lake Louise I went exploring with my new toy, my amazing Canon 1100D with a 250mm lens and came across this little fellow who was quite tame really and seemed to pose for me, I was in my glory we do not have these animals in Australia.Time
Sometime mid afternoon, not quite sure of exact time, I know we arrived before lunch to the Chateau at Lake Louise shown to our room and while we had daylight we set off to see the lake up close, I ended up moving away from the lake itself and headed along a path where I came across this little cutie.Lighting
Being a very novice with photography and what lighting and technical details were all about, I was more interested in how close I could get to a subject. From memory it was not a sunny day lots of cloud cover, there is not a shadow showing, I did not need a flash the light was ample to see clearly.Equipment
Canon 1100D with 250mm lens hand held.Inspiration
I just love animals especially the cute furry ones that are found in the USA, it was like a dream come true when I stumbled upon this little fellow.Editing
I did crop the photo. In my camera bag
When I took this photo all I had was my Canon1100D and the 250mm lens, spare battery and cleaning cloths.Feedback
Be ready to capture the image, they move so fast, I use the sport mode when photographing these little fellows.
