Such a gorgeous shot! These two are absolutely amazing! Again, your lighting is outstanding! I'd love to see more of this shoot. Very vanguard with the black and white. Love it!

What was your lighting set up if you don't mind me asking

I used a standard silver reflector on the strobe, infront and above the models, and i stood right underneath it. I added a silver reflector under their arms, but could have done without it.

I love this, if I may ask, how do you achieve the dark background I tried with the faster shutter but still didn't work quite nice, I'm a beginner photographer.

You don't need a faster shutter, with the strobe, you need to place your model further away from the background, that way the light wont hit the background :-) (also having a black seamless backdrop helps alot)

Very strong portrait! Stellar capture...has a certain flair from the past over it and the way you captured the glance in the eyes is magnificent...absolutely love this! Bravo! :-)

Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken in my studio, where i had invited the two lovely young ladies, for a photoshoot.
Time
We shot this around noon.
Lighting
Here I used a single standard silver reflector on the strobe, and placed it a few feet from the models, and a little above head hight. I placed a silver reflector under neath the arms and in front of the models, to bounce some lights.
Equipment
Nikon D7200, my 50mm Sigma art, and a single strobe.
Inspiration
I saw some inspiration for a shoot, that looked a bit like this one, but it was in color, and I knew i wanted to do this one in black and white, so we went for simple lights, that created great shadows.
Editing
I converted the photo to black and white, and did som basic cleanup, and some D&B
In my camera bag
I always always carry my Nikon D7200, 50mm Sigma Art, 85mm Nikon f/1.8D and a Nikon 24-70 f/2.8
Feedback
Try with a single light, place the models far from the background and tune in the placement of the single strobe infront of the models. dont give up, it is hard to direct two models at once.
