An African Harrier Hawk (also know as a Gymnogene) specialises in thieving from crevasses and the holes of nesting birds, such as this Yellow-billed Hornbill. It has adaptive, flexible knee-joints to enable it to probe for lizards, chicks and eggs.

I watched as this amazing bird of prey reached in to the nesting hole whilst protective Horn-bills attempted to harass and mob the Harrier Hawk in to giving up it's forage for the prizes inside
