The beach at the Pinery Provincial Park on Lake Huron (Ontario Canada) borders the Coastal Dune ecosystem and a rare Oak Savanna that hosts over 800 vascular plants and 300 bird species. The 21 square kilometres parkland has numerous walking trails, and a bike and skiing trail, as well as boating-canoeing on the Old Ausable Channel. The National Geographic ranks sunsets at the Pinery as being among the ten top best in the world.
