Location
This image was taken in the Black Forest, Germany.Time
It was almost noon on a hazy day.Lighting
I remember wandering around the beautiful forest and searching for some motives. Suddenly, I came to this spot shown in the image where the fog intensified. Actually, there was not much light, just a tiny glimmer of the sun which searched its way through the haze.Equipment
At that time I used the Sony Nex-5n with a Sony Lense (18 - 55mm), no filters or other equipment - just me and my camera!Inspiration
Obviously, I was fascinated by the fog covering the trees of the Black Forest. The atmosphere in this moment was absolutely worth to be banished on the memory card.Editing
Well, for the post-processing I used Adobe Lightroom. During editing I enhanced the colours and the contrasts because in my opinion, it emphasises the mood I want to show in the photograph. In my camera bag
Usually, I work with my Sony a77 and several lenses, most of the time the Sony 16 - 50mm, the Sigma 18 - 35mm, and the Sigma 105mm. Furthermore, I use ND-Filters by Haida, a Manfrotto-Tripod which is quite useful for long exposures etc. Last but not least, it is always necessary carrying some accus, memory cards etc. with you!Feedback
My motto is always: "Don't think too much!" - actually, this image was taken by accident. It is like "Strolling, Seeing, Shooting!" My only advise is: Try it out and see what result you get!
