After an unforgettable working trip to India, my memories began to cross over and melt into one concentrated and ever-changing recollection of my impressions of India.
Flashbacks of particular and indelible moments; semi-constructed high-rises left to ruin, families living on the pavements, the colours, dusty sunsets. The 'norms' of my Western morals' were challenged frequently and not always in the usual pleasant ways. I wanted to represent my over-lapping and fragmented memories of my recollections visually so created a series of multiple exposures. This particular scene is captured shortly after leaving Mumbai airport.
3 images;
1. Portrait of a lady and child.
2. Silhouettes of people outside the chaotic airport .
3. The semi-erect and simultaneously crumbling concrete constructions.
An amazing and profound trip, one i'll never forget.
