Location
This image was taken in studio. My studio is located in Atlanta, GATime
I think this portrait is one of my favorites, I remember the day we did it, it was during the afternoon around 3:00 pm, I really do not remember well the day I took it, but it was September 2015, For the reason that this portrait is one of my favorites it is because it was one of the first close-up portraits that I made as a full-time photographer, I was just beginning as a professional photographer.Lighting
Regarding lighting, this was very simple. I used single lighting, with a beauty disc. My idea as a concept was to generate an image-rich in shadows to achieve the effect of the volume of the image. Sometimes I like to give the portrait a touch of drama, with a mixture of beauty and mystery, and for this, I think it convenient to use a single light.Equipment
As for the equipment, this is another point for which I really enjoy this result, because I used my first equipment that was a NIKON 7100 with a 50mm 1: 1.8 lens and the lighting was an Einstein E640 strobe light, which was borrowed by a colleague of mine. The background used was Seamless Paper Background fashion grayInspiration
In this case, my inspiration was herself, her charisma, how expressive she was, and her natural beauty, and above all it was the expression of her eyes.Editing
Actually the postproduction was simple, use photoshop, since I always shoot on Raw. I only made very few variations from the original version, I just exaggerated the lighting a little and gave the image a soft touchIn my camera bag
Generally in my bag, I carry two NIKON D750s with me, with a series of Tamron lenses and different GODOX flashes, a tripod, many batteries, and Magmod accessories for flashes.Feedback
I think that the most important thing in this type of photography is to have a good connection with the subject, and not only to focus on shooting but to direct the person, tell them what to do how and when, that is to say, have control of the situation.
