Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was captured in the Rietvlei Nature Reserve in Tswane South Africa

Time

Early morning about 6 am

Lighting

Light the magic that takes the ordinary to the memorable. Same subject same setting...the light is the key. Not always something that wild life photographers can control but can work around

Equipment

Canon camera Tamron large lens 600

Inspiration

The challenge................ no nothing like that. I was not inspired at all. Bad day bad lighting but patience paid off

Editing

The normal post production. I try and get it right in the camera

In my camera bag

Everything and the kitchen sink... I never know where my emotions will take me. A very heavy mindset

Feedback

One of my mentors said that the difference between professionals and amateurs is consistency. That being true there are no short cuts no failures just consistency. The more consistent one is, the more one works at the craft the better one becomes at it. and if you cant for any reason enjoy the journey
