Location
This photo was taken on a bird market in Paris in February 2013.Time
It was taken around 2pm.Lighting
Natural light on a cloudy day in February gave this picture a perfect calming look.Equipment
This picture was taken on a Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 135mm f2/L USM lens.Inspiration
I love nature, animals and birds. The bird marked in Paris was busy with tourists and birds were in cages, some were jumping around, some were singing. These two just freely sat together and were surprisingly calm, like nothing disturbed them. That's what drew my attention. I started watching them to see what was going to happen. They just sat next to each other for a while, and then one bird moved closer to another, they just sat next to each other for some more time and then started expressing their tender feelings. What a delight is was! I was completely fascinated and managed to grab my camera quickly and take a couple of shots to depict this tender moment which didn't last for too long. It was just such a miracle to see!Editing
Just cropped a picture slightly to adjust the composition, but the moment speaks for itself. In my camera bag
I usually carry my camera Canon EOS 5D Mark II, my wide lens Canon EF 15-35 f2.8/L and long sharp 135 f2/L. I also bring 50mm f1.8 lens sometimes for lightness and convenience. When I am showing cityscapes or landscapes, I also bring my tripod (Benro).Feedback
Explore the places where you can see some animals and nature, and just watch them, ready to push the button any moment. I think patience and luck are the secret to these kind of shots! Good luck!
