I took the photo on January 31st 2011, probably at about midday. We were visiting the our daughter who was living in Shenzhen at the time and thought that the theme park would make an excellent day trip.Lighting

I shot this on a Nikon D70 using a Nikon 18-70 lens and was hand held.Inspiration
I'd been to miniature villages before but this one was different as the scale models were of different sites from around the world. This particular view intrigued me with the idea of being able to shoot across the lagoon towards Venice in Italy whilst having the surreal situation of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France sitting behind it. An utterly impossible shot without Photoshop in real life, but somehow looking perfect together.Editing
I possible tweaked the lighting a bit but that was all if any.In my camera bag
When I took this shot I used a Nikon D70 body with a standard Nikon 18-70 lens that I got with the camera. Kit lenses like these are not normally all that good but I loved this one so much that when I upgraded to the Nikon D7200 it remained my main everyday lens. I also have a Nikon 70-300 lens with an anti-shake system on it which is crucial now that I've developed shaky hands, and a 50mm macro lens was the latest edition to the kit although I forgot to buy one with the anti-shake system so I have to be careful where I use it. I also have a Nikon flash.Feedback
Catching those beautiful Mediterranean skies whilst in China was pure luck, but is crucial to the overall effect of the shot. As a tourist I was lucky to be there at the right time, but light is crucial.
