2005 I decided to visit this grove of Bristlecone pines in Great Basin. As the camp is just under 10,000 feet and it was winter I was intimidated to be venturing up there alone but finally bristlecone fever won and I made the trek up but it was very slow progress due to snow and heavy pack and I don't do well at elevation and trailhead is at 7,000 feet. Finally made it up there and worth the effort. Couple days later storm moved in and I thought the snow had stopped but the tent was covered in snow and why I could hear it falling on my tent. Picture is that next morning as the storm cleared.
