This photo was taken in Queens Park, Invercargill New Zealand

1:00pm just after lunch time

Lighting

I was battling a bit with other photos with the lighting but this flower was sitting under a larger tree which gave me the perfect lighting for the shot.

Equipment

All I used was a macro lens and my canon 1100d dslr

Inspiration

I was in a park and the flowers were in full bloom so I was going a bit flower crazy and wanted to capture some of the flowers from a different perspective

My tripod is a must have as well as my remote trigger. I always have my fisheye lens, my 40mm pancake lense and my 75-300mm! And am seldom without my GoPro hero 4

Get up close and personal with them! It opens a whole new world of flowers! Be aware of the color of the flower for when picking what sort of lighting!
