Location
This photo was taken in Santa Cruz in California at the Natural Rock Bridges State ParkTime
This was taken in the evening. Around 8pm. The light got more and more saturated and I took a few pictures but I liked how this picture turned out, with the wave, and the soft light. It's almost like a painting.Lighting
Just natural light. And a 1 second exposure.Equipment
I used my Nikon D610 and I used my 24.0-85.0mm f/3.5-4.5 at 56mm on my manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
When I got to this beach I knew exactly what I wanted. I had to take a lot of pictures in order to catch the wave breaking the way it does in the picture.Editing
I added a graduated filter at the bottom and on the top to close the image and some radial filter to dodge some part of the image. In my camera bag

My advice would be patience. The light changes a lot in the last 30 minutes of a sunset and you never know when you'll get the one that catches your eyes. And also leave only when it's dark. The first night I went there I left a bit early and when I got in my car the sky was crazy, but it was too late to get back on the beach and take a picture.
