There was no thought about the lighting...I saw it and only had literally seconds to start shooting once I got there.Equipment
This was with my cell phone the LG G3 VS985 4G. I didn't even have time to do any settings. I had brought my Canon with me only to find out that the battery was dead. I got 2 shots off with that then switched to my cell. (My picture "Sunrise Magic" was one of them) This was too good to have missed!Inspiration
I love to take sunrise pictures. I live near this wonderful park that is on the Great South Bay. If I look out my window in the am and it looks like its going to be a good color day, I grab the camera and head over. This particular morning I was suddenly awoken from my sleep. I didn't want to get up yet, tried to go back to sleep, was tossing and turning. After one more turn, I saw this amazing color sky peeking through my blinds....I jumped out of bed, and in my pajamas, grabbed the camera, hopped in the car and headed down with only a minute or so to spare before I would have lost it. How lucky was I to get this!Editing

I am a novice, so I only have my camera and cleaning product in my bag. I do have a tripod, but don't carry it around with me. My bag is only big enough to hold camera right nowFeedback
Always be ready. Know when the sun rises or sets where you live and be there before. It comes and goes alot faster than you think. Sometimes you only have seconds to spare to get "the shot".
