Location
This was taken at Angkor Wat, Siem Reap Cambodia.Time
It was mid morning around 11.30 am but the arch of the doorways kept some of the harsh sunlight out. Most people photograph the Wat early morning or late afternoon for the perfect light. However it can be difficult to get a good shot without other people in it at those times so were there in the hottest and brightest time of the day but worth it as hardly anyone else was around.Lighting
I love the way the doorways really draw the eye in ending with a Buddhist stupor at the end. I have this on a canvas in my living room.Equipment
This was shot on a Cannon 60D. A few years ago so don't know the settings.Inspiration
The depth of field and the bright green of the moss against the grey.Editing

Don't shy away from midday light. You can still get some great shots at that time of day
