Location
The photo was taken as a result of pure chance and luck. I was taken out to photograph White-tailed Eagles, but did not manage to get close to them. By lunch time we decided to drive to a restaurant near Gilleleje, Denmark. The restaurant is located at a relatively steep slope that goes down towards the sea. As I sat at the table the kestrel appeared outside the window. My camera was of course in the car, and the chance to retrieve it was nil. I noticed that the kestrel came back several times. After lunch, I picked up the camera. I was lucky that it came back and sat down on the top of a tree about 20 meters away and some meters below me. The little special color in the background of the photo is because it is taken down towards the sea. The kestrel stayed in the area for a while. I managed to get a number of photos of it. Some of it can be seen here on Viewbug. They are all taken handheld.Time

For the post- processing I used Lightroom. I cropped it a bit and made some minor adjustments. In my camera bag

Keep calm, eat your lunch, be lucky, get closer and then even closer.
