This photo was taken at Maygrove Lake in Orewa, Auckland, New Zealand. I'm an amateur photographer and decided to take some shots of the beautiful flowers on and around the lake just after a rain shower.Time
This is one of my favourite photos. It was taken just after noon on a showery day. I remember having to shelter from the rain, my umbrella came in handy!Lighting
The natural light was perfect for this shot. It was taken around noon just after a shower. The clouds parted, the sun shone and enhanced the droplets of water on the water lily.Equipment
This was an opportunistic photo taken with a simple Canon Coolpix P50 that I happened to have with me. No other equipment was needed.Inspiration
I decided to take a walk around the beautiful lake near my home just after a rain shower and was inspired by the beautiful, colourful flowers sparkling in the sunshine.Editing

I've upgraded to a bridging camera a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ70 and I lawns keep my tripod in my car should it be needed.Feedback
