This photo was taken on a meke shift studio that we built on a vacant room here in the Philippines. We don't have much gears so I just did what I can with what we have.Time
Since the model in the photo is a very busy person as she is a local celebrity here in the Philippines, we did the shoot on a window of time that she could spare before her event, if I remember correctly it was about 7pm, with the shoot only lasting for about and hour and 30 mins.Lighting
The lighting was very very basic, being a self taught photographer I just did a "sandwich" light setting, one small light below and one small light above with a medium light set on the middle.Equipment
I don't own professional gears, I only used a canon EOS60D with a canon 55-250 standard lens while having 2 small strobe lights and 1 medium strobe light for the lighting.Inspiration
At first I was only a fan of the model, her name is Ava Jugueta, she is a local celebrity and a singer here in the Philippines, and when I had the chance to meet her in person, I offered to do a photo shoot for her which she gladly accpeted, and boy it was a dream come true made possible by photography.Editing
I don't do much post processing, being at my age of 42 I find photoshop too rigourous for me, I just do some basic adjusting with Lightroom, more on the exposure, shadows and tones and of course taking out blemishes if needed be which is also what I did for this photo. In my camera bag
Nowadays I only carry light gears since most of my shoots are out of town and more on moving objects. I got blessed of being able to upgrade my gears so now I carry a Canon 80D combined with a Sigma 18-300 C lens and a Nissin TTL flash if needed.Feedback
I am no God of photography so I don't think I am to ask for advice, but what I learned is that, never be downed by having simple or basic gears, you may have an entry level camera and lens but what matters most is your passion for photography and the love that you pour into each and every shot you make whether it is a shot for yourself or for a client.
