I loved her costume, she had colored her hair specifically for this parade and the red against the green was perfect. She was going through a difficult time, but this particular morning she was so beautiful and happy I really wanted to capture that moment.Editing

Portraits are my biggest struggle. I think trying to capture the person in as normal a setting as possible is the magical moment. I love the natural look rather than the posed look. It makes it more real. This was such a perfect moment between the two of us, I will be forever grateful I took this picture.
