The Fichtelburg railway runs from Cranzahl to Oberwiesenthal on the Czech border. In the winter the trains are well patronised with skiers travelling to the ski slopes at Oberwiesenthal. While there is no sign of snow in this picture the ski slopes were still open and busy in this first week of February. Later this day the snow started to fall.
