This photo was take at Hunting Island South Carolina.Time
It was still dark when I drove into the park. It must of been 5 am or so. I wanted to get there as soon as the gates opened so I could get some great sunrise shots...... but this shot, took my breath away. It was truly and amazing morning.Lighting
The sun kept creeping in and out from behind the clouds. The timing could not have been more perfect for this shot to really work.Equipment
I try to take as natural of a photo as possible. I always carry my Canon T5 - I have gotten some amazing shots with it... I trust it and it has never let me down.Inspiration
The beach itself was the inspiration. It is littered with dead trees all along the coast from past hurricanes. It is a true boneyard. Like no where I have ever seen before.Editing
I own no program to edit by. I like for my viewers to see as real a pic as I did in person. The most I ever do is either switch it to black and white or adjust the saturation.In my camera bag
Always my Canon T5, 75mm and a 300mm. Lately I have been brining along my Nikon... it is new to me, so I am adjusting to the differences between the two.Feedback
Patience..... arrive early and stay late.... I rarely get that one perfect shot in one click. Take a few in succession... really helps.
