Awesome

Behind The Lens

Location
This image was taken in my home studio.
Time
It was probably shot about 11pm once the kids had gone to bed (at 7) Kelly my partner applied the make up we then set the studio up and shot it.
Lighting
The lighting was a Bowens Gemini 400 with a big soft box attached. I'm sure it was a little off frontal almost side lit.
Equipment
I think I shot this on a Nikon D3200 using a 35mm prime lens, no tripod.
Inspiration
My partner is an amazingly talented make up artist, we both wanted to do something very abstract and came up with this.
Editing
Yes a bit on Photoshop. Using layers and masks, some skin softening using a split frequency technique.
In my camera bag
A Nikon D3200, a Nikon D5200, a Nikon D80, a Canon 1100D and a multitude of lenses including a 35mm prime, a 70-300, an 18-70, a 24-70, an 18-55. I think that's it.
Feedback
Be creative, network with other creative folk such as designers, hair stylists and make up artists if your partner isn't one haha.
