Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken at the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, a combined park on the boarders of South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.Time
The photo was taken in the early morning just after sunrise when the lions was walking to the waterhole to have a drink of water.Lighting
The ISO was quite high because I do not have a 2.8 lens and need to capture the moment in the low light.Equipment
I use a Canon 7D Mark 2 and the lens was a L IS Canon Zoom Lens EF 100 - 400mil, 4.5 lens. I use a Clip that attach to my vehicle window as my Tripod. No Flash was used because the lens was extended to 400mil.Inspiration
I went on holiday tot the park to take wildlife photos. Its a beautiful park with lots of wildlife but please make sure that you don't do it in the heat of the summer because it unbearable hot in the summer and very dusty. The dust is a fine powder that creep into everything that is sealed. I suggest that you go after the fists rain to see the reflections and young-lings that is born. You will need a 4 x 4 vehicle to drive around.Editing
I use a Photo Shop CS to do post - processing of all my images. In my camera bag

Take the time and capture the moment when you have the change to do it. Be up early in the morning to capture those special moment before the heat of the day because animals look for shade when its hot.
