Try to eleminate as much shadow as possible without over saturating the subject with light. I used a 3 lamp set up giving plenty of options to adjust at an angle for more/less shadow as required.Equipment

The model was not convinced that anyone could get a nice picture of her, I arranged a shoot and one of the shots was this. I knew as anyone else does when they look at her that she is an attractive young lady and on seeing the results she was absolutely thrilled and is now convinced herself of the bare facts.Editing

I am not used to working in a studio environment and this was one of my first attempts. The key is to make sure the model is happy with the surroundings, confident and at ease. If during the shoot the model is not comfortable take a break, have a chat and a drink and explain what you hope to achieve. Keep the shooting sessions short and allow the model to take a break while resetting lights etc, most of all have fun, enjoy it, once the model sees you are happy they invariably forget there own insecurities and can get into the flow of things.
