A mountain gorilla watches me as it chomps away on the vegetation. This was taken in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest which holds several habituated gorilla groups. Sadly, the forest I much smaller now and the area has to be patrolled by armed guards to deter poaching.

This is a great shot. I live in Rwanda and have not trekked in Uganda. However I understand it is a very different experience. I understand our forest is not as impenetrable though we still have guards that go with us. The gorilla's are doing well and their numbers are growing. In Rwanda we have an annual event to name the new babies. It is spectacular. Thank you for the Black and White - something I don't think of often.

Brilliant shot love it and such a shame that they are losing their habitat...
