Location
This photo was taken in my home studio. I have alway love macro photography so on rainy days I cane be found playing around in my studio with some flowers and a water dropper.Time
This has to be my favorite Macon shot taken to date. I remember waking up that morning wanting to do new family portraits as I had just gave birth to a little girl 3 months prior but it decided to rain. I had purchased these Gerbera's the night before , they're my favorite flower. So I decided about 3pm to test out my new macro lens.Lighting
What you need to understand is my studio at the time was in the middle of our dark, 900 Sq foot apartment. I had a counter the flowers were on and one continous light reflecting into a silver lined umbrella.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 6D, Canon 100mm L and one continous light reflecting into a silver lined umbrella.Inspiration
I am a self taught photographer and when I was first learning photography I was obsessed with macro water droplet images. I wanted to put my 8 years of experience to practice in an attempt to capture a beautiful sharp water droplet images of my own.Editing
With this image I only did minimal work in lightroom. In my camera bag
My bag consists of two compartment, my favorite and my backups. In my main compartment there's my Canon 6d, Canon 70-200mm 2.8 L, Canon 24-105mm L, and Canon 85mm 1.8. In my back up there's my Canon 100mm L, Sigma 50mm f1.4, my Canon T2i and my two flashes.Feedback
When working on macros practice, practice, practice. You'll either need an image stabilizedata lens or a tripod and good lighting. Always shoot what you love if it's flowers, insects Moss, grass or water droplets. Let your imagination be your guide.
