Thank You !! I have actually struggled lately with textured backgrounds...forcing me to give up for a while. Come back and this is my outcome!! Thank You! The Rider loves this shot so much!

Behind The Lens

Location
This particular photo was taken at a NBHA barrel race in Central Missouri!
Time
Sadly, this photo was an indoor shoot and I had limited light to work with!
Lighting
Indoor lighting isn't the greatest but I added a textured background to help with the low light!
Equipment
I shoot with a Canon 60D, 70-200mm 2.8f, and a monopod!
Inspiration
I love barrel racing...but I also love being different...so I added a textured background to hopefully draw the attention back to the horse and rider.
Editing
Textured backgrounds and some smoke brushes!
In my camera bag
A canon 60D, 70-200mm 2.8f IS L, Canon Rebel Xti, 70-200 4f.
Feedback
I always sit at second barrel when photographing barrel racing, it seems to be 90% of the time the rider and horses' BEST picture. Focus on the barrel and wait for the horse to get around it facing you and fire away!
