Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in the breeder's yard in Italy.

Time

It was afternoon and the puppies were tired cause a lot of time spent playing together. We decided to have a run from one of them and eh result was almost a serious puppy even if she is a crazy dog. The colours andthe light were amazing thanks to the late afternoon.

Lighting

I've thought that the light was enough but the dry grass was not so good for the picture. Then I've thought to exploit the warm sun to make them to be like a cuddle for the puppy.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D4 with a Nikon 300mm f/2,8 without any kind o tripod, flash or other materials.

Inspiration

Puppies always inspire me behind the camera because their behaviour are not forced. They only want to have fun and they are so curious.

Editing

Yes I did with Photoshop as always to adjust the raw file with Light, white, blacks, colors, sharpness etc.

In my camera bag

I always brin gwith me the Nikon D5 and the Nikon D750. Then I'm usual to choose the lenses I whink I will use to bring them with me. My fvourite are the Nikon 300mm f/2,8, the Nikon 70-200mm f/2,8 and the 24mm f/2,8

Feedback

If you want to work with dogs in action you have to know and understand dogs and their behaviours. In this way you will be able to catch them telling something to people.
