Luck sometimes has to do with pictures, as i was framing this shot the white hores appeared out of nowhere and walked right into the frame to drink some water, i almost couldn't believe it when he stayed still enough to capture this picture.
As for technique, nothing too fancy, my Nikon D750 set to ISO 50 with a 28-80mm old zoom, a Nikon Polarizer and a Manfrotto 144 tripod with video head, the exposure was 13 seconds in Aperture priority, f-22 and white balance set for shadow

Location
In a camp near "Carhué" town in the western area of Buenos Aires province, Argentina (aprox. 600 miles from Buenos Aires city) this is the "Pigüé" Creek running along the "La Chacra" Municipal CampingTime
It was late afternoon, around 6:30 pm when the sun was already below the treelineLighting
used natural lighting only, I chose the time when the sun was already below the treeline so the light would be soft and low enough to avid using extra filters on the lensEquipment
Nikon D750 camera, a Nikkor 28-80 f/3.5-5.6D lens (set to 31mm and f/22) with a Nikon Polarizer to eliminate white reflections on the water surface and a Manfrotto 144 tripod with a standard video head (I prefer video heads because of the fluid movement)Inspiration
I love small creeks and forests, so when i went camping to this place a few days ago i wanted to take the most of it and achieve some nice silky water shots. But luck sometimes has to do with pictures, as i was framing this shot the white horse appeared out of nowhere and walked right into the frame to drink some water, i almost couldn't believe it when he stayed still enough to capture this picture.Editing
Only normal raw processing, lowering blacks a bit (i like deep black in the shadows) The white balance was already set to shadow in-shot so i didn't had to adjust it during the process. As i do on all nature shots, raised clarity and vibrance a bit to get the vibrant colors i like.In my camera bag
Nikon D750 camera body, the nikkor 28-80 used in this picture, an old pre-AI Nikkor 50mm f/1,4 lens, a Nikkor 75-300 f/4,5-5,6 and a Vivitar Series 1, 800mm f/8 mirror lens. As for accesories, i carry a Nikon circular polarizer and a Hama circular polarizer (with stronger polarization than the Nikon) a filter holder and a set of ND and gradual ND jellies, some basic cleaning stuff (cloth, brush and blower) extra batteries, a remote shutter release, filter adapters, extension tubes and a flashlightFeedback
The best is to do this in at least two days. On day one, scout the area before actually going to shoot pictures, it is best to do this without any camera at all (or just a compact camera for reference shots) and decide what time of day would be the best for scene lighting. On day two, get to the spot with some extra time, i usually get there half hour ahead, place the camera, tripod all in place and check the light, then have fun!
