Location
This photo was taken in a small woods close to where I live, these tiny fungi were clinging to a dead tree branch.Time
It was taken in the morning after the school run, my friend and I often go for a photo walk before starting all our daily tasks.Lighting
The natural morning light was perfect for this shot so no artificial light was needed.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon EOS 700D with a Canon 18-135mm lens at f5.6 1/160 ISO 320. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I love searching for and photographing all the different types of fungi and these 3 mini mushrooms were calling out to meEditing
I developed the RAW image in Adobe Camera Raw, just some shadow and highlight adjustments and a bit of sharpening. In my camera bag
I have had my Canon 700D for around 3 years, this being my first DSLR. I am still using two kit lenses 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 and 70-300mm F4-5.6. I love macro photography and use a Tamron 90mm macro lens and recently added a Yongnuo 50mm F1.8 to my bag.Feedback
Fungi tend to hide in dark and damp places so you really need to search for them on the floor of the woodlands, under fallen leaves and in crevices on dead tree branches. Some are so tiny and you need to train your eyes to spot them, but it's worth it.
