Behind The Lens

This photo was taken at the Dry Lake Beds in Victorville California. I am a published photographer based in Menifee California.
This photo was taken at the wrong time of day. As you can see in the photo the sun is high and left. This created a small problem, but I used a SB910 speed light to overcome the harsh shadows.
Image was shot with a Nikon SB910 Speedlite on.
This lovely lady was shot using: Nikon D7000 Body Nikor 70-300mm f4.6 N Flash SB910 Handheld no Tripod used
This was the second location for this shoot. This location was not thought about. Leaving our first location and driving out a different direction than driving in, it just stood out to me. So I asked Maria if she was up for a few more shots and being the professional model she is made this shoot happen
For post- processing very little had to be done. Using Adobe Lightroom only made a simple color correction. I didn't want to over process the image and take away from the beauty of the model or landscape.
In my camera bag
In my bad I always carry 5 lenses: 70-300mm f/4.6 50mm f/1.8 100mm Macro 18-55mm f/4.6 35mm f/1.4 SB910 Speedlite 42" Reflector Tripod
Along with making sure your equipment is clean, batteries charged, full tank of gas I always pack snacks and water. Enough for not only yourself but your model. Always sealed and new unopened bottles. You can never be too careful, but it's easy to be under prepared.
