Behind The Lens

Location

Obviously, this photo was taken in Paris. A quick stop-over to France, after a trip to Scotland.

Time

Early morning, a walk through the streets of Paris.

Lighting

Just an impulse click while in awe of the massive structure rising before me.

Equipment

This particular photo was taken with my cellphone, Sony Xperia Z1, full auto.

Inspiration

First day, first time in Paris... so, it was all greedy click-click-click in an effort to take it all in.

Editing

The automated settings of my phone did most of the job, bit over-saturated like a post card from the 80s.

In my camera bag

Sony a3500, a 16mm-f2.8 for landscape and astro-photography, an 18-50mm-f4/5.6 for street and general use, a 55-210mm-f4.5/6.3, a collection of ND & Polarizing filters, lens & sensor cleaning kits, a Slik tripod and depending on the project, I might also carry my Australian Geographic Spotting-Scope with its mini tripod.

Feedback

If in a tourist mood like I was back then, take only a couple of photos and try to actually LIVE the rest of your staying. If you're trying to capture something similar... then don't. Try an interesting angle instead. Make a quick online search of the building, monument or structure you are about to capture, let it sink in and then try to create something completely different to what everybody else did.
